I was pleased to see Big Love Season 3 from HBO finally begin. I was not let down by the turn of events. Each character now has a life and interest all its own.
The cancer cliche of first wife Barb was played and it results in Barb wanting to seek a 4th wife for the family. What I was deeply disappointed was how they treated the new usurping prophet character Alby by portraying him as a homosexual in a public toilet. What a load of bull the writers stooped to this time. This smells much like playing into the hands of the anti-fundamentalist Mormons. I think they were bribed or pressured into writing the homosexual angle in. Frankly, I thought it to be a stupid concept. The most unappetizing and toss out the window unbelievable sub-story in Big Love Season 3. If I can get that homosexual angle out of my mind, I may be entertained with Big Love Season 3.
