Personal salvation hysteria is selfish

I have been observing and reading some material of close family members who are into this heaven and hell hysteria.  They are all smug about saving themselves from judgement day.  That the end of days are here.  They are so concerned about their personal salvation.

In my view, that is a very selfish way of thinking.

My personal philosophy is that I take care of my health and well being for the purpose of serving others, for the purpose of caring and nurturing my children.  Say I make a million dollars, it’s for them, to be used for them.

I really do not care about my personal “salvation.”   All I know is that my ancestors from the very start worked hard at making and caring for the next generation until it gets to my generation.  It is my responsibility and utmost pleasure to continue with this wonderful tradition and make my own descendants, take care of them and teach them to make their own descendants.

These are not end of days.  There is always a new beginning.  The new beginnings are my children and my grandchildren.

Yes, to each his own.  You may care about your selfish self salvation, but I do not care for my own.  I do what I do for the next generation and they are all that matter.

About Babymaker

Ever since I was young, I always admired large family reunions. I have always dreamed of being that great grand father in that enormous reunion celebration.
