Absolutely Zero Contraception: Conservative and Polygamous
The logical and easy to follow thought experiment and actual evidence goes like something like this. Zero contraception lifestyle means absolutely no artificial nor natural methods allowed. Where every sexual contact is a potentially life creating act. Set this as your paradigm.
Men and women in a zero contraception lifestyle realize that their sexual impulses will most probably lead to babies. Given that, they and their elders will find it suitable that they be married off prior to any sexual activities. Virginity becomes the norm. Conservatism the default. Boyfriend-Girlfriend relationships become very short mutual engagements prior to marriage with no sexual contact. Owing to strong sex drives in the late teens and early twenties, marriages will be arranged at these now proper ages so that children are assured of having a family to grow up in.
If a man of 21 marries a woman of 18, and they have a zero contraceptive lifestyle, you will expect this woman to bear at least 5 children. Some women may want to stop at 5 or 6 children. The only way she can do this is abstinence. Refuse sex for the rest of her life. This leaves a man in his early thirties with no woman to have sex with. We know abstinence is quite impossible for men. If the man has pledged a zero contraceptive life, then he cannot resort to prostitutes (contraceptive mistresses are prostitutes too). The only alternative then is to get another wife and bring forth new children as well. This may be done until the end of the man’s sexual lifespan.
This zero contraceptive lifestyle is the natural situation still lived by some people in the world today masked under various religious coating. The rest are contraceptive, resort to prostitutes, and mistresses in a hush hush manner… the sad, ugly, hard truth.
